Event Information
The Great Lakes ADA Center hosts this installment of its Section 508 Best Practices Webinar Series, with speakers from federal and state government agencies covering U.S. digital accessibility law, implementation resources, and real-world lessons from organizations working to meet federal accessibility standards.
Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act requires federal agencies to make electronic and information technology accessible to people with disabilities, including people who are deaf or hard of hearing. Captioning, accessible video, and communication technology are among the areas it addresses. The session may be relevant to technology professionals, accessibility coordinators, government staff, and advocates working on digital access.
ASL interpretation and real-time captioning will be provided. Questions for presenters can be submitted during registration. The session will also be available as a self-paced webinar after the live date, and qualifies for 1.5 AIA HSW contact hours.
