When pedestrians approach an intersection, they have access to a range of visual information including traffic lights, walk signals, and stop or yield signs that signals how vehicles and pedestrians are expected to behave at the crossing. For pedestrians who are blind or have low vision, however, that information is often not usable. This webinar covers the requirements for accessible pedestrian signals under the Public Right-of-Way Accessibility Guidelines (PROWAG).
The session includes video remote interpreting (VRI) and real-time captioning. Questions can be submitted in advance or posed during the live session. Attendees can earn continuing education credits. The webinar is hosted by the ADA National Network in cooperation with the U.S. Access Board. Archived recordings of previous webinars in this series are available on the site.
