2026 Access/VSA Emerging Young Artists Program Applications Now Open

The Kennedy Center’s Access/VSA Emerging Young Artists Program is now accepting applications from U.S.-based visual artists between the ages of 16 and 25 who identify as disabled. This national program celebrates the creativity and perspective of young artists and provides opportunities for recognition and professional growth.

Fifteen selected artists will each receive a $3,000 stipend, have one of their works featured in a national exhibition, and participate in a week of professional development workshops at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., from March 10–14, 2026. Applicants must submit images or videos of at least three original pieces and respond to a series of short essay prompts about their background, artistic process, and future goals.

Applications are due by Sunday, November 16, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. MT. Interested applicants can also register for the “EYA Application 101” webinar on Thursday, October 23, at 7 p.m. ET for guidance on how to prepare a strong submission.
