The Federal Communications Commission is accepting applications from organizations that want to serve as the national outreach coordinator for the National Deaf-Blind Equipment Distribution Program (NDBEDP), also known as iCanConnect.
The selected organization will lead national efforts to inform people who are deafblind about the equipment and services available through the program. The term is five years, starting July 1, 2027. The FCC will reimburse up to $250,000 per year from the Telecommunications Relay Service (TRS) Fund for reasonable costs of approved outreach activities.
Applications must be emailed to NDBEDP@fcc.gov. According to the Public Notice, each application should include specific information about the applicant and a list of proposed outreach activities and deliverables. For questions, contact NDBEDP Administrator Jackie Ellington in the FCC’s Disability Rights Office at 202-418-1153 or NDBEDP@fcc.gov.
This notice is for organizations. People interested in equipment through iCanConnect can find program information at fcc.gov/NDBEDP
