The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is accepting applications for participation in working groups under CSRIC X, the 10th term of its Communications Security, Reliability, and Interoperability Council. One of the working group topics is expanding multimedia availability in Next Generation 911 (NG911) systems and increasing 911 accessibility.
The FCC is seeking applicants from a range of backgrounds, including representatives of consumer and community organizations. Working group members are selected to bring a balance of expertise and perspectives to the issues the Council is tasked with addressing. Participants serve in working groups, which are distinct from Council membership.
This is an opportunity for accessibility advocates, consumer representatives, and others with relevant expertise to contribute to federal-level discussions about how 911 systems can better serve people who are deaf, hard of hearing, or have other communication access needs.
Applications must be submitted by email to CSRIC@fcc.gov by Thursday, June 11, 2026.
