Auracast Webinar Hosted by IAHA Global

This webinar from the International Association for Hearing Accessibility reviewed what Auracast is, how one to many broadcast audio works over Bluetooth LE Audio, and where it fits with existing systems. The recorded webinar covers current deployments in venues like universities, theaters, and transit pilots, early benefits like lower latency and broad device reach, and near term limits such as few directly compatible hearing aids, reliance on venue receivers with neck loops, 2.4 GHz congestion, and user setup friction.

The discussion focused on coexistence with hearing loops and other ADA style systems for now, clear wayfinding and staff training, and designing simple assistants that do not require smartphones. Standards and wider device support are still evolving, so the practical takeaway is to test what works today, keep loops where they serve users, and plan for Auracast as an added option rather than a wholesale replacement.
