Starkey announced new connectivity enhancements for its Omega AI hearing technology platform, adding three major features to improve how users connect and communicate. The company claims that the Auracast assistant lets any smartphone with the My Starkey app tune into Auracast broadcasts and stream audio straight to users’ hearing aids, with controls for volume and language.
Starkey claims that the Google Fast Pair support makes pairing Android phones to Omega AI devices as simple as a single tap. An industry-first Push to Talk feature would allow users of Omega AI 24 technology to send voice messages directly to another wearer via a double-tap control through Starkey’s Smart Assistant. These updates build on Bluetooth LE Audio and AI-driven design to make shared audio, device setup, and direct communication easier and more intuitive for wearers.
