AI Features Added to Captioned Calling Platform

An article from BriefGlance reports that the captioned calling app "InnoCaption" introduced new AI features to support phone communication for people with hearing loss or speech disabilities. The updates include AI Refine, which converts short typed prompts into fuller text-to-speech sentences, along with QuickSpeak and Saved Phrases that allow users to quickly deliver common messages during calls.

According to the report, these features build on the app’s existing captioned calling system, which allows users to view real-time captions of conversations and choose between automated captions generated by speech recognition or captions created by live stenographers. The service operates within the U.S. Internet Protocol Captioned Telephone Service (IP CTS) framework and is available at no cost to eligible users through the federally administered Telecommunications Relay Service (TRS) fund.
