Researchers at the University of Alberta, working with partners at the University of Tennessee and Gallaudet University, are conducting a multi-year study examining how “deaf aesthetic” design principles can inform the development of accessible digital textbooks, e-books, and digital learning platforms.
Adults (18+) with any degree of hearing loss are invited to participate. The research runs through December 2026 and may include surveys and related research activities. Participants who complete surveys may enter a draw for one of four $500 CAD gift certificates, with winners expected to be selected in January 2027.
Individuals interested in participating can contact Joanne Weber at jweber1@ualberta.ca or click here to learn more about this opportunity.
