The European Federation of Hard of Hearing People published a collection of first-person accounts from hard of hearing advocates and member organizations as part of Hearing Access Week 2026. The week's theme is "Right to Connect," which the organization describes as covering the full range of conditions needed for people with hearing loss to participate in society: access to hearing devices, assistive technologies, live captioning, accessible digital spaces, education, and employment.
The publication draws from contributors across EFHOH's European membership and is co-funded through the European Commission's Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) Programme. The views expressed are those of the individual contributors and do not represent the European Union or the European Commission. The collection is consumer-facing and advocacy-oriented rather than research-based.
