The Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) is hosting a free public webinar examining how Auracast broadcast audio and hearing loops fit together in the future of assistive listening. Auracast, a newer broadcast audio standard built on Bluetooth LE Audio, has drawn attention as a way to make sound more accessible in public spaces, which has raised questions about whether it will replace existing hearing loop systems. The session addresses those questions directly: whether venues should switch, whether the two technologies can be used together, and how each meets different listener needs.
The webinar is aimed at people with hearing loss as well as venue operators, event organizers, and AV professionals, and includes practical points for discussing inclusive audio solutions with venues. Panelists include representatives from Listen Technologies. The session will be live captioned and recorded, and is open to the public at no cost.
