Philips Adding Native Auracast Support to Its 2026 Television Range

Philips is set to begin shipping its 2026 television models with native Auracast broadcast audio support built in. Several other major television manufacturers have made similar moves in recent years. Native Auracast support in televisions is relevant to hearing accessibility because it removes the need for a separate transmitter to stream audio directly to compatible hearing aids, cochlear implants, or headphones.

Until recently, using Auracast at home required an add-on transmitter connected to a TV's audio output. Built-in support simplifies setup and reduces cost for users who want to stream television audio directly to their hearing devices. Specific model numbers and regional availability had not been confirmed at the time of reporting.
