FCC Announces Equipment Distribution Program Allocations for Deafblind Individuals for 2026-2027

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) released a Public Notice on April 28, 2026 announcing fund allocations for the National Deaf-Blind Equipment Distribution Program (NDBEDP), also known as iCanConnect, for the 2026-2027 fund year running July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027.

The NDBEDP provides up to $10 million annually from the Interstate Telecommunications Relay Service (TRS) Fund to support programs that distribute equipment to eligible low-income individuals who are deafblind.

The program is intended to help those individuals access telecommunications services, internet access, and advanced communications services. The FCC certifies a single entity in each state, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and U.S. territories as the sole organization eligible to receive reimbursement for program activities in that jurisdiction.
