Oticon Introduces Premium Hearing Aid Family for Disposable Battery Users

Oticon has introduced Verit, a new family of premium hearing aids designed for users who prefer disposable zinc-air batteries over rechargeable devices. The line includes three styles: the miniRITE T, miniBTE T 85, and BTE T 105.

According to Oticon, the devices are built on the company's Sirius platform with second-generation AI sound processing and support for Bluetooth LE Audio, including access to Auracast broadcasts through the Oticon Companion app. The company also reports compatibility with Made for iPhone and Android devices for direct audio streaming and hands-free calls. Performance data cited by Oticon comes from internal research briefs rather than independent peer-reviewed studies.

Rechargeable hearing aids have grown significantly in market share, but disposable battery devices remain the preference for some users. Verit is positioned as a premium option for that group, offering current connectivity features without requiring overnight charging.
