Samsung recently showcased its Auracast technology at an event held in St. Paul’s Cathedral, London, in honor of Global Accessibility Awareness Day. In collaboration with GN, a hearing aid provider, the demonstration showed how Auracast can enhance shared audio experiences in acoustically rich environments.
Auracast enables a single audio source to broadcast to multiple receivers simultaneously. During the event, attendees equipped with GN hearing aids or Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 experienced guided tours and choral performances transmitted directly to their devices via Auracast. This setup not only reduced background noise but also provided clearer sound quality, demonstrating the potential of Auracast in public venues.
Samsung has integrated Auracast support into various devices, including Galaxy phones running One UI 6.1 or later, and earbuds like the Galaxy Buds 3, Buds 3 Pro, and Buds 2.
