Audibel recently released an overview of technologies used in its latest hearing aid platform, including features described as Deep Neural Network (DNN) Directionality and 360-degree spatial awareness. According to the company, the DNN Directionality system uses machine learning to analyze incoming sound and prioritize speech signals from different directions. The feature filters complicated environmental noise where speech and background noise compete.
The company also describes 360-degree spatial awareness, a processing approach designed to analyze sound from all directions and adjust amplification patterns in real time. Audibel reports that these systems aim to maintain awareness of surrounding sounds while still supporting speech understanding.
