Event Information
The Association of Late-Deafened Adults holds its annual convention, ALDAcon 2026, October 7 through 11 at the Williamsburg Lodge in Williamsburg, Virginia. ALDAcon brings together late-deafened adults, people with hearing loss, cochlear implant and hearing aid users, and their families and friends for several days of workshops, presentations, and social events.
Access is built into the program. ALDA makes all workshops, luncheons, and special events accessible through sign language interpretation and CART captioning, and the organization's longstanding "Whatever Works" approach welcomes people who communicate by speech, listening, sign, speechreading, or writing. For 2026, ALDA reports that Auracast broadcast audio assistive listening will be available throughout conference spaces, which can let attendees hear presentations and program audio using compatible hearing aids, cochlear implants, earbuds, headphones, or smartphones.
