At the 2021 TDI conference this summer, Larry Goldberg of Yahoo Media gave a plenary talk titled "ASR Captioning: Better than Nothing... or is it?" The video of this session can be found on YouTube at the link below and has sign language interpretation and embedded CART captioning. You can also turn on auto-generated captions in English for comparison.

Twitter Support announced in July (2021), "Now when you record a voice Tweet, captions will automatically generate and appear. To view the captions on web, click the “CC” button."
