Amazon is expected to add a new accessibility feature called Adaptive Display to Fire TV devices in the coming months, according to reporting by AFTVnews, an independent site that covers Amazon streaming hardware. The feature is designed to increase the size of text, menus, and interface elements for users with visual accessibility needs.
Rather than enlarging all text uniformly, the feature is reported to scale smaller text up more than larger text, which is intended to improve readability without filling the screen with oversized elements. Multiple sizing levels will reportedly be available. The feature is expected to arrive first on the second-generation Fire TV Stick HD, with a broader rollout to other models anticipated afterward.
Amazon has not provided a specific release date. The AFTVnews report is based on early information, and details may change before the feature becomes available.
